Dark Eyes.
Bob Dylan.
Album: Empire Burlesque.

The song is in G major, tuned down to 'A' Major,
he's mainly using the top three strings, not always
full chords. So if you want it to sound like the
original, you'll have to figure it out.
Chords below actually sound OK in the standard
tuning, or you can transpose them into 'G'.
Only a Dylan Aficionado will remember this,
from 1985 anyway.

Intro: A E A D E A E A Dmaj7 A E A D E6 A E A Dmaj7

A D E
Oh, the gentlemen are talking,
A E7 D A
And the midnight moon is on the riverside,
                        D E
They’re drinking up and walking,
A E7 A D A
And it is time for me to slide,
E A D E A
I live in another world where life,
    Dmaj7 E
And death are memorized,
          Amaj7 A D E
Where the earth is strung with lover's pearls,
    A E A D A
And all I see are dark eyes.

Break: E C#m D E A E A Amaj7

A E A D E
A **** is crowing far away,
    A E A D A
And another soldier’s deep in prayer,
              E Dmaj7 E
Some mother’s child has gone astray,
A E7 A D A
She can’t find him anywhere,
    E A D E A
But I can hear another drum beating,
    D E
For the dead that rise,
     A E Dmaj7 E
Whom nature’s beast fears as they come,
    A Dmaj7 E A D A
And all I....see are dark eyes.

Break: D E A E A Dmaj7

A E A D E
They tell me to be discreet,
    A E A D A
For all intended purposes,
          E A D E
They tell me revenge is sweet,
         A Dmaj7 A
And from where they stand, I’m sure it is,
    E A Dmaj7 E
But I feel nothing for their game,
      A Dmaj7 E
Where beauty goes unrecognized,
Amaj7 E A D E
All I feel is heat and flame,
    A E A D A
And all I see are dark eyes.

Break: D E A E A Dmaj7 A E A D E A E A D

A E A D E
Oh, the French girl, she’s in paradise,
      Amaj7 E A D A
And a drunken man is at the wheel,
       E/D A D E
Hunger pays a heavy price,
       D Dmaj7 A
To the falling gods of speed and steel,
    E A D E
Oh, time is short and the days are sweet,
    A Dmaj7 E
And passion rules the arrow that flies,
  A E A D6 E
A million faces at my feet,
    A E A D A
But all I see are dark eyes.
